Si l&rsquo;h\u00e9g\u00e9monie du fl\u00e2neur reste ind\u00e9niable dans les documents et la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 des pratiques urbaines, le r\u00f4le que les femmes jouent dans la culture romantique de la fl\u00e2nerie et le journalisme litt\u00e9raire reste encore \u00e0 interroger. Peut-on cerner les contours de la fl\u00e2neuse, comme on a fait du fl\u00e2neur un type aux incarnations diverses dans la culture parisienne du XIX<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle? Les fl\u00e2neuses sont-elles des fl\u00e2neurs incomplets, voire \u00e9pisodiques ? Autant de questions auxquelles cet essai apporte des r\u00e9ponses nuanc\u00e9es, \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;une \u00e9tude renouvel\u00e9e de la figure du fl\u00e2neur dans le Paris romantique. Parcourant d&rsquo;abord la sc\u00e8ne mouvante de la fl\u00e2nerie populaire, puis son incarnation dans le roman balzacien, l&rsquo;interrogation se porte ensuite vers les pratiques de marche dans la ville, d&rsquo;\u00e9criture de la ville et de construction de soi chez Delphine de Girardin, George Sand et Flora Tristan.
