Il s\u2019agit de mettre en relief, par une approche comparatiste, les images nuanc\u00e9es du romancier et les caract\u00e9ristiques de la r\u00e9ception de ses \u0153uvres dans les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9poques. En effet, les \u00e9tudes sur Stendhal en Chine sont \u00e9troitement li\u00e9es au contexte social et politique de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 chinoise. <em>Le Rouge et le Noir<\/em>, roman \u00e9tranger qui conna\u00eet le plus de traductions chinoises, est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 tant\u00f4t comme un chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre de la litt\u00e9rature r\u00e9aliste, tant\u00f4t comme une \u00ab herbe v\u00e9n\u00e9neuse \u00bb contre le Parti communiste. La r\u00e9ception de Stendhal en Chine refl\u00e8te, dans une certaine mesure, celle de toute la litt\u00e9rature occidentale. L\u2019auteur a essay\u00e9 de mettre en \u00e9vidence les facteurs essentiels \u00e0 la r\u00e9ception de Stendhal en Chine et les transformations des \u0153uvres du romancier face \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve d\u2019une culture et d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9trang\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p><em>Qian Kong est enseignant-chercheur \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 normale de Nanjing (Chine). Elle fait des recherches sur la litt\u00e9rature fran\u00e7aise et la traduction. Elle est la traductrice de plusieurs livres fran\u00e7ais.
